Business Development Representative EMEAI

Solargis is seeking a business development representative to join our EMEAI sales team. The successful candidate should preferably work from Bratislava but we will also consider suitable candidates who can work remotely from any other location in Europe.

Our BDRs key role is to research and make first contact with prospective customers to see whether Solargis would be a good fit for their needs. The successful candidate will join our international sales team that comprises people from 7 nationalities (and counting) . Moreover, you will have the opportunity to talk everyday to people from many different cultures from across Europe, India, Middle East, and Africa. BDRs who demonstrate good performance can progress onto the position of Account Executive or potentially could also take up roles within our marketing, product, or customer support teams. 

JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research prospective customers to see whether Solargis would be a good fit for them
  • Make first contact with qualified leads with the objective of understanding their challenges and prescribing the most relevant solution
  • Schedule demo calls between qualified leads and Account Executives. Collaborate closely with Account Executives to ensure proper hand-off of qualified leads.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to ensure successful implementation of marketing campaigns and to improve engagement with prospective customers
  • Record and maintain research and call notes, and other lead information in our CRM database

REQUIREMENTS and QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree
  • Strong interest in solar energy
  • You must be a people's person and naturally curious. Picking up the phone and talking to strangers should not make you uncomfortable.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English are required. Fluency in other European languages, in particular French, Spanish, German, or Italian, is a big plus.
  • Previous sales experience or a strong desire to start a career in sales.
  • EU citizenship or a valid residence permit in Slovakia
  • Starting date: as soon as possible

We send your application for employment and its attachments only to our internal employees and departments responsible for the application process. Your personal data will not be provided or made available to any third party.

Purposes and legal basis for the processing:

We will process and use your personal data only in connection with the processing of your application for employment in our company. Based on the data provided, we will decide on your suitability for the job. The legal basis for such processing of personal data is the adoption of steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract (pre-contractual relations) under Art. 6 (1) letter b) of the GDPR. In case your application is successful, the data you have provided can be used during the course of your employment relationship. The legal basis of such processing is the performance of the employment contract under Art. 6 (1) letter b) of the GDPR.

Storage period:

If we cannot offer you employment with our company, we will delete the data you have provided during the application process.

In case you would like your application to be considered also for future vacancies, you have the possibility to grant the consent with the retention of your personal data for the period of two (2) years. If you consent to this, we will contact you if you have the necessary qualifications for another position that is to be occupied during this period. You can revoke the consent at any time by sending an email to jobs@solargis.com. In case of revocation, we will immediately stop processing the respective personal data and delete them, unless there is another legal basis for their further processing. However, any processing performed before the revocation of your consent will remain lawful.

Rights of data subject:

In connection with the processing of your data you have the rights of data subject under Art. 15 et seq. of the GDPR, namely:

  • the right of access to personal data (providing a copy of personal data) and the right to information on the terms of processing of personal data within the scope of the Art. 15 of GDPR;
  • the right to request the rectification and completion of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
  • the right to erasure the personal data for the reasons set out in the Art. 17 of GDPR,
  • the right to restrict the processing of personal data in the cases provided for in the Art. 18 of GDPR,
  • the right to transfer the personal data to another controller.
