Junior Data Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Involvement in customer support and consultancy assignments, systematic work on customer projects related to analysis of solar radiation, meteorological and environmental data and performance of photovoltaic power plants
  • Quality inspection and analysis of meteorological and environmental measurements and power production data from photovoltaic power plants
  • Import of time series data from various sources and harmonisation; analysis, identification of issues using analytical tools, numerical tests and visual inspection
  • Description and interpretation of identified data features and issues and reporting to customers
  • Cooperation with teams on improving of data infrastructure, methods, quality control tools and processes

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree from technical disciplines or science (geography, environment, meteorology, etc.) , focus on data
  • Basic programming skills (e.g., Python or R)
  • Experience with time series data, ability to find and understand issues in data
  • Experience with measured data, statistical analysis, and interpretation of results
  • Knowledge of geography or meteorology, remote sensing, GIS software is an advantage
  • Geographical thinking is an advantage
  • Responsible and diligent work, sense for details and accomplishment
  • Innovative thinking, forward looking, team spirit, focus on customers, ambition for successful team delivery
  • Good command of English, both spoken and written

Information on the conditions of personal data processing

Your personal data contained in the job application and its attachments (e.g. in the CV) will be processed in accordance with the applicable legislation, in particular the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) no. 2016/679 ("GDPR"). Controller, recipients of data:

Your personal data will be processed by our company Solargis s.r.o., with the registered office at Milana Marečka 3, 841 07 Bratislava, ID: 45 354 766 in the position of the controller. We send your application for employment and its attachments only to our internal employees and departments responsible for the application process. Your personal data will not be provided or made available to any third party.

Purposes and legal basis for the processing:

We will process and use your personal data only in connection with the processing of your application for employment in our company. Based on the data provided, we will decide on your suitability for the job. The legal basis for such processing of personal data is the adoption of steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract (pre-contractual relations) under Art. 6 (1) letter b) of the GDPR. In case your application is successful, the data you have provided can be used during the course of your employment relationship. The legal basis of such processing is the performance of the employment contract under Art. 6 (1) letter b) of the GDPR.

Storage period:

If we cannot offer you employment with our company, we will delete the data you have provided during the application process.

In case you would like your application to be considered also for future vacancies, you have the possibility to grant the consent with the retention of your personal data for the period of two (2) years. If you consent to this, we will contact you if you have the necessary qualifications for another position that is to be occupied during this period. You can revoke the consent at any time by sending an email to jobs@solargis.com. In case of revocation, we will immediately stop processing the respective personal data and delete them, unless there is another legal basis for their further processing. However, any processing performed before the revocation of your consent will remain lawful.

Rights of data subject:

In connection with the processing of your data you have the rights of data subject under Art. 15 et seq. of the GDPR, namely:

  • the right of access to personal data (providing a copy of personal data) and the right to information on the terms of processing of personal data within the scope of the Art. 15 of GDPR;
  • the right to request the rectification and completion of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
  • the right to erasure the personal data for the reasons set out in the Art. 17 of GDPR,
  • the right to restrict the processing of personal data in the cases provided for in the Art. 18 of GDPR,
  • the right to transfer the personal data to another controller.
