Job summary:

Solargis seeks an accomplished and dedicated Technical Writer to join our team. As Technical Writer, you will be pivotal in establishing efficient content management processes and elevating the quality of existing documentation. Your expertise in technical communication, documentation management, and process optimisation will contribute significantly to our mission of providing exceptional support to the solar power industry.


Description & Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of our documentation and content management systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of all materials.
  • Develop and implement efficient content management processes and workflows to streamline documentation creation, maintenance, and organisation.
  • Review and optimise existing documentation, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Collaborate with subject matter experts to update and enhance technical documents.
  • Translate complex technical concepts and data into clear, accessible, and engaging documentation for various audiences, including technical staff, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with our geoscientists, meteorologists, engineers, programmers, data scientists, analysts, and business developers to gather, organise, and refine technical content.
  • Maintain consistent branding, tone, and style across all documentation, ensuring a unified and professional representation of Solargis offerings.
  • Verify the accuracy and integrity of data, technical specifications, and other relevant information in all documentation and communication materials.
  • Coordinate and oversee the publishing of new content on our platform, website, and other relevant channels, adhering to brand guidelines and industry standards.
  • Support technical and business teams in the development and commercialisation of products.
  • Contributing to creating a strategic plan and defining the company's priorities.
  • Constant monitoring of IT trends in the context of company priorities.
  • Candidate should have EU citizenship or a valid residence permit.

Job requirements:

  • University degree in a relevant field such as Communications, Journalism, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience as a Content Manager, Technical Writer, or similar role, preferably in the renewable energy sector
  • Strong understanding of content management systems and tools, along with exceptional organisational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for various audiences.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in reviewing and editing content to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • A genuine interest in renewable energy and the solar power industry is highly desirable.
  • Experience of at least 2 years in a similar position
  • Fluent communication skills in English
  • Experience with Agile development
  • Ability to solve problems and analytical skills
  • Ability to quickly learn various domain knowledge
  • Good presentation and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Constantly learn knowledge from the fields of natural and technical sciences

Your personal data contained in the job application and its attachments (e.g. in the CV) will be processed in accordance with the applicable legislation, in particular the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) no. 2016/679 ("GDPR"). Your personal data will be processed by our company Solargis s.r.o., with the registered office at  Bottova 2A, 811 09 Bratislava, Slovakia, ID: 45 354 766 in the position of the controller. We send your application for employment and its attachments only to our internal employees and departments responsible for the application process. Your personal data will not be provided or made available to any third party.

Purposes and legal basis for the processing:

We will process and use your personal data only in connection with the processing of your application for employment in our company. Based on the data provided, we will decide on your suitability for the job. The legal basis for such processing of personal data is the adoption of steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract (pre-contractual relations) under Art. 6 (1) letter b) of the GDPR. In case your application is successful, the data you have provided can be used during the course of your employment relationship. The legal basis of such processing is the performance of the employment contract under Art. 6 (1) letter b) of the GDPR.

Storage period:

If we cannot offer you employment with our company, we will delete the data you have provided during the application process at the latest in six (6) months.

In case you would like your application to be considered also for future vacancies, you have the possibility to grant the consent with the retention of your personal data for the period of two (2) years. If you consent to this, we will contact you if you have the necessary qualifications for another position that is to be occupied during this period. You can revoke the consent at any time by sending an email to legal@solargis.com. In case of revocation, we will immediately stop processing the respective personal data and delete them, unless there is another legal basis for their further processing. However, any processing performed before the revocation of your consent will remain lawful.

Rights of data subject:

In connection with the processing of your data you have the rights of data subject under Art. 15 et seq. of the GDPR, namely:

  • the right of access to personal data (providing a copy of personal data) and the right to information on the terms of processing of personal data within the scope of the Art. 15 of GDPR;
  • the right to request the rectification and completion of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
  • the right to erasure the personal data for the reasons set out in the Art. 17 of GDPR,
  • the right to restrict the processing of personal data in the cases provided for in the Art. 18 of GDPR,
  • the right to transfer the personal data to another controller.
