Business Development Internship

The objective of this internship position is to give young talent the opportunity to learn in an international business environment. You will develop your business and communication skills, and have the rare chance to get a bird’s eye view into the renewables revolution.

We are looking for someone who can commit to work at least 20 hours/week over a period of 6+ months. Successful interns will be offered a full-time position on a permanent basis.

A few of your key experiences will include:

• Handling the sales process from start to close. This will involve engaging with prospective and existing customers to understand their challenges, and propose meaningful solutions.
• Develop business relationships and effectively demonstrate how our solutions are better than competitor products/services. In doing so you will practice effective communication with a global audience.
• You will be the voice of our customers. You will help the product development team to improve our product portfolio by regularly collecting customer feedback, monitoring competitor and market trends.
• Pitch in with new and creative ideas on how we could improve our processes, increase sales, and offer better support to our customers
• Possibility to travel to solar energy tradeshows and conferences to promote our solutions and engage with existing customers

About you:

You are a student currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Masters programme at a University in Bratislava.

Did you graduate recently? In such case you may want to consider the full-time position of Account Executive.

You also have the following qualities and skills:

• A positive attitude, strong desire to be successful, and to make a difference.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral). You have good command of English. If you are fluent in Spanish, French, Portuguese, Mandarin, Arabic, or Japanese that is a huge bonus.
• It is not necessary to have technical know-how in the field of solar energy. However, you should have an interest in this topic and ability to learn quickly.

The legal basis of such processing is the performance of the employment contract under Art. 6 (1) letter b) of the GDPR.

Storage period:

If we cannot offer you employment with our company, we will delete the data you have provided during the application process.

In case you would like your application to be considered also for future vacancies, you have the possibility to grant the consent with the retention of your personal data for the period of two (2) years. If you consent to this, we will contact you if you have the necessary qualifications for another position that is to be occupied during this period. You can revoke the consent at any time by sending an email to jobs@solargis.com. In case of revocation, we will immediately stop processing the respective personal data and delete them, unless there is another legal basis for their further processing. However, any processing performed before the revocation of your consent will remain lawful.

Rights of data subject:

In connection with the processing of your data you have the rights of data subject under Art. 15 et seq. of the GDPR, namely:

• the right of access to personal data (providing a copy of personal data) and the right to information on the terms of processing of personal data within the scope of the Art. 15 of GDPR;
• the right to request the rectification and completion of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
• the right to erasure the personal data for the reasons set out in the Art. 17 of GDPR,
• the right to restrict the processing of personal data in the cases provided for in the Art. 18 of GDPR,
• the right to transfer the personal data to another controller.
