This powerful bundle brings you a full set of tools for feasibility of the solar projects. In the first step, iMaps - the interactive maps will help you to find a perfect location and gain a strategic insight into the new regions. In the second step, pvPlanner will help you to quickly and reliably calculate the PV electricity potential without having to invest too much time or resources.
Far shading losses from terrain is accounted for in the solar radiation data available via iMaps. For calculation of far shading losses, horizon data is taken from digital elevation models with spatial resolution of 250m.

Set up basic properties of PV technology, mounting system, location horizon and run calculation. You can play and fine-tune the settings and recalculate results.
Download the results of your calculation in printable PDF format or in XLS or CSV format
Solar data with 250-m grid resolution for reliable energy assessment showing detailed solar climate variability, e.g. in islands, coastal zones and mountains.
Use of Solargis validated data, which has been independently recognised as the most reliable, in the prospecting stage, prevents disappointment in the later stages of a solar energy project development.
Monthly averages of solar resource and air temperature help to understand seasonal variability.
In-built digital terrain data with 90m resolution enables automatic calculation of shading losses from nearby hills/mountains. The map colour coding adjusts according to a region and map zoom level, allowing for more detailed data visualisation.
You can download pvPlanner reports in Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, French, and 10 other regional languages. You can also customize the reports by importing your company logo.
pvPlanner service is also available as an API – allowing you to access Solargis data via 3 rd party apps. The API service is also useful for quick assessment of long-term energy production of a large portfolio of distributed PV systems.
