Solargis historic data is now available with daily updates also for Namibia, Zimbabwe, Angola, Zambia, Malawi, and parts of Mozambique, Tanzania and Democratic Republic of Congo. Daily updates are available via pvSpot online app, FTP, and Web Service.
The part of the Solargis database covered by the MTSAT satellite, serving pvPlanner and iMaps applications, has been updated. This include regions of Australia, Pacific, Southeast and East Asia. Users of Solargis have now access to the most recent data developed with enhanced Solargis model version 2.0. For all online applications, the solar model uses improved and harmonized satellite and atmospheric data inputs, which have been available before only for Solargis climData deliveries.

Solargis historic data is now available with daily updates also for East China, Japan, and Australia. pvSpot is particularly useful when on-site weather stations are not available or cannot be relied upon. Irradiation and simulated PV output data can be accessed on a regular basis either via pvSpot online application or via FTP/ WebService access.
Twenty consecutive years of data is considered as representative climate period. The free maps for European and African countries are being updated with data representing the long-term average of 2 recent decades (period 1994-2013).
A set of new or updated GHI and DNI free maps is available to download. It includes countries from Asian continent Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Syria, Tajikistan, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam and from African continent Lesotho, Malawi, Senegal and Gambia, South Africa, Swaziland and Zambia.
Keeping track of your climData order history just became easier. You can now easily view and download list of sites for which you have purchased time series or TMY data.
For customers who have contract-based access to time series and TMY data, you can now also view order history of your colleagues to keep track of total number of data orders made by your company.
The last puzzle to the global mosaic - Solargis data for Hawaii, Alaska and Pacific islands is now available. Data from GOES-WEST satellite mission have been processed from 1999 (16+ years) onwards and incorporated into the Solargis database. Presently, data can be purchased on request. Gradually the data will be made available also via online applications iMaps, pvPlanner, climData, and pvSpot.
We have reduced the delivery time for time series and TMY P50 orders from 1-2 working days to just 5 minutes- for the region of Americas. This challenging process has been fully automatized thanks to dedicated work of our team and long-term experience with data in various climates. Now, when working on a tight deadline and requiring quick access to Solargis time series data, you will have one less thing to worry about. Over the course of this year, we plan to improve delivery times also for other regions.
Solargis TMY (Typical Meteorological Year) data is the most recommended world-wide data source to gain reliable results from PVsyst simulations. The recent versions of PVsyst (version 6.12 and later) supports direct import of Solargis TMY data. Prior to PVsyst version 6.12, we provide Solargis TMY data in PVsyst standard format.
