solargis.info or apps.solargis.com?

Solargis tools are currently scattered across these two websites:

If you want to benefit from all solutions we offer in Solargis we recommend you to register at both sites. Please follow the instructions for creating your account.

If you are looking for a site to check all product information, documentation, prices and other resources then keep at Solargis corporate site.

Getting your account ready

Step 1. Create a new user account in solargis.info.

If you already have one, please go to the next step. To go ahead and create a new account, you need to provide your email address and set a password. The process is as follows:

  • Click on sign up from solargis.info
  • Click on the Create account link
  • Enter your email address and captcha from the picture
  • A temporary password will be sent to your email inbox; use this password to sign in for the first time
  • Sign in and set the new password for your account

Step 2. Log in to apps.solargis.com.

You can use the same login credentials as in the solargis.info site (you may need to upgrade your password). If for any reason you need to create a new user account in apps.solargis.com, please follow the instructions:

  • Click on sign up from apps.solargis.com
  • Fill in your personal information
  • Accept terms of use

Step 3. Wait to be invited to your company account.

If your company already has a company account, please follow the instructions below. Skip this step if you don't have a company account registered yet.

  • Ask your Admin to send you an invitation to join the company account
  • Accept the invitation sent to your email
  • Wait for your Admin to confirm your access to your Solargis subscription

Step 4. Create a new company account (if necessary).

If you don't have a company account registered yet, please follow these steps:

  • Sign in from apps.solargis.com
  • Click on the user icon in the top right corner
  • Select 'Create customer account'
  • Invite others to join your organization's account and manage their subscription access

How to invite users to join your subscription

You need to have an admin user role to invite new users.

Step 1. Invite others to join your company account.

  • Sign in from apps.solargis.com
  • In the top right corner make sure that you have selected the correct company. To check whether you are an admin, you just need to see the text under the company account’s name; there you should read “Admin user”.
  • Go to 'Company admin'
  • In 'Users' menu select 'Invite a user'

Step 2. Add them to the subscription. Once they have accepted your invitation, you can manage their role and access from your company admin area:

  • Sign in again from apps.solargis.com
  • Click on the “apps” top right button and select “Company admin” from the drop down and then on “users” from the left side menu.
  • Choose the user you want to add from the table and switch to active
  • Choose the role you want to assign to the user (by default is a regular user)

As a company admin, you can also delete users from your company account and assign/unassign permissions to your subscriptions. Please note that there is a limit in the maximum number of users available under paid subscription plans. If you are interested in adding new users to your plan, please contact us.

Difference between user and company accounts

Subscriptions in Solargis are assigned to companies and not directly to users. For each company account, there should be at least one user account that has an Admin role and manages invitations to other members of the company.

To sum up, for using Solargis online software you need to have:

  • A user account, for signing in with your email and password
  • A company account, for holding a paid subscription

Both user and company accounts need to be connected. This two-account system will provide you extra flexibility. Your company account can be associated with more than one user (e.g. people in the same engineering team). In addition, your personal account can be associated with more than one company account simultaneously (e.g. subscriptions to Solargis apps that have been purchased by different companies).

Please remember that within a company account there are different roles:

  • Regular users, who have permission to use the apps if the admin user has given access to it.
  • Admin users, who have permission to invite, add or remove users associated with a Solargis subscription. The admin role can also determine the role of each member under the same company account (admin or regular user). The admin role has access to company admin enabled.

Please note that there can be multiple admin users under the same company account. When someone creates a company account, an admin role will be assigned by default.

Am I registered already? How to recover my password?

You may not remember if you already have an account at Solargis. No problem, in such case please try to reset your password. If you already have an account under that email address, you will receive the “reset password” notification email.

Please note that if you try to create a new account using the same email address associated with an existing account, the system will show you an error message.

To reset your password please follow this:

  1. Sign in from apps.solargis.com
  2. Select “Forgot your password?” and provide your email address associated with your personal account
  3. Open your email and look for the email we sent you.
  4. Click on the link and choose a new password
