KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation of technical studies for customers who are global players in solar photovoltaics. The scope of work is to support projects in development, design optimization, monitoring, performance evaluation, and solar power forecasting. Typical tasks include:
    • Analysis, quality inspection and evaluation of time series data from solar radiation and meteorological measurements, meteorological models, and photovoltaic (PV) power systems.
    • Work with documentation from meteorological stations, instruments and descriptions of measurements.
    • Solving customer specific problems related to solar radiation and meteorological measurements and PV projects development.
    • Work with documentation, including Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical layouts, and detailed technical specifications for PV power plants components (PV modules, inverters, …).
    • Design of large-scale PV power plants and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) using a proprietary in-house configurator to meet specific customer requirements.
    • Develop and validate complex simulation models for hybrid (Solar + Storage) systems.
    • Communication with customers.
  • Simulation and solar energy assessment, performance analysis and evaluation of photovoltaic power plants.
  • Design of large-scale PV power plants and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) using a proprietary in-house configurator to meet specific customer requirements, including cable sizing.
  • Develop and validate complex simulation models for hybrid (Solar + Storage) systems.
  • Systematic work on consultancy activities and collaboration with customer support.
  • Writing technical reports and documentation.
  • Collaboration with teams on improving data infrastructure, methods, quality control tools and processes.
  • Participating in and presenting at scientific events, conferences, technical workshops, customer visits and webinars.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

MUST HAVE

  • University degree in electrical engineering or electrical power engineering
  • Work experience from graduate up to 3 years
  • Advanced level of English language, spoken and written (at minimum B2 level)
  • Report-writing skills
  • Advanced skills with MS Office tools
  • Data processing and analysis skills
  • Responsible and diligent work, focus on details, accomplishment and perseverance
  • Analytical thinking, ability to find and understand issues in data and texts
  • Ability to effectively communicate in interdisciplinary and multicultural environment

 

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience from PV industry is welcome
  • Experience in electrical engineering
  • Experience with measurements and time series data
  • Experience with geodata and meteorological data
  • Basic programming skills (e.g., Python)

Information on the conditions of personal data processing

Thank you for your job application and your interest in our company.

Your personal data contained in the job application and its attachments (e.g. in the CV) will be processed in accordance with the applicable legislation, in particular the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) no. 2016/679 ("GDPR"). Please read the following information on the terms of processing of your personal data and on the possibility of granting the consent with the retention of personal data for future vacancies.

Controller, recipients of data:

Your personal data will be processed by our company Solargis s.r.o., with the registered office at  Bottova 2A, 811 09 Bratislava, Slovakia, ID: 45 354 766 in the position of the controller. We send your application for employment and its attachments only to our internal employees and departments responsible for the application process. Your personal data will not be provided or made available to any third party.

Purposes and legal basis for the processing:

We will process and use your personal data only in connection with the processing of your application for employment in our company. Based on the data provided, we will decide on your suitability for the job. The legal basis for such processing of personal data is the adoption of steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract (pre-contractual relations) under Art. 6 (1) letter b) of the GDPR. In case your application is successful, the data you have provided can be used during the course of your employment relationship. The legal basis of such processing is the performance of the employment contract under Art. 6 (1) letter b) of the GDPR.

Storage period:

If we cannot offer you employment with our company, we will delete the data you have provided during the application process at the latest in six (6) months.

In case you would like your application to be considered also for future vacancies, you have the possibility to grant the consent with the retention of your personal data for the period of two (2) years. If you consent to this, we will contact you if you have the necessary qualifications for another position that is to be occupied during this period. You can revoke the consent at any time by sending an email to legal@solargis.com. In case of revocation, we will immediately stop processing the respective personal data and delete them, unless there is another legal basis for their further processing. However, any processing performed before the revocation of your consent will remain lawful.

Rights of data subject:

In connection with the processing of your data you have the rights of data subject under Art. 15 et seq. of the GDPR, namely:

  • the right of access to personal data (providing a copy of personal data) and the right to information on the terms of processing of personal data within the scope of the Art. 15 of GDPR;
  • the right to request the rectification and completion of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
  • the right to erasure the personal data for the reasons set out in the Art. 17 of GDPR,
  • the right to restrict the processing of personal data in the cases provided for in the Art. 18 of GDPR,
  • the right to transfer the personal data to another controller.

In addition, you have the right to file a complaint to the Personal Data Protection Office of the Slovak Republic, if you consider that the processing of your personal data is contrary to the GDPR.
